BADGER
13.2hh grey cob type gelding, 14 years. Badge is a very safe ride, an absolute plod! He is completely unfazed by traffic and will happily hack past a steam train!!! Could be ridden by absolutely anybody. Has been used in a trekking center in the past.
Having said this Badge can be a grumpy old man to handle and nips/pulls faces so a confident handler is needed to remind him who is in charge! Once he learns that he isn’t scaring anyone he tends not to bother and can be a real angel at times!
Badge has had laminitis in the past and a new owner needs to be aware of this. Since I have owned him he has not been affected. He lives out year round which he prefers, but is strip grazed in summer by electric fencing which has been very effective.
I am looking for the perfect home as this pony is much loved despite his cheekiness at times! A teenager/adult owner would be ideal. I bought him to get my confidence at riding back and he has been very good for this.
I would love to keep him, but as I am starting University soon I have to be realistic that I will not have the time.
