A superbly bred National Hunt Thoroughbred. An elegant horse who is short coupled, deep chested, with a good length of rein. He has a noble head with a very kind eye, excellent attitude and temperament and above all very good feet and excellent conformation. He does not carry the chestnut gene and will therefore never throw chestnut. He is a quality young colt who takes very much after his sire with extravagant straight moving paces and natural elevation. He has been brought to the fore after the loss of his sire who was highly thought by the Eventing, Showing and Showjumping fraternity. He loose jumps and shows a calm, classic technique over a fence. He was broken Autumn 2007 proving to be a calm and sensible ride with an unflappable temperament. He has hacked out alone and in company. In 2008 he will be produced by Andrea Morris with the Burghley Young Event Horse and PAVO British Eventing finals in mind.
He is a perfect young sire to inject quality as well as giving thoroughbreds more substance and a sensible attitude. We consider him to be an excellent prospect to breed Show Horses, Hacks, Intermediates etc. Eventers, Showjumpers and Point to Pointers.
His Sire: Honeybrook Siren had exceptional racing bloodlines and was classes as a ‘Dual’ sire (able to produce flat and jump racehorses) but was produced as a competition stallion, successfully shown in hand as a youngster, went on to compete at dressage, showjumping and hunted with the Meynell. He had BSJA winnings having jumped big opens and Derby’s with scope to burn, he loose jumped 5ft triple bars for fun at the age of 18! For 2 seasons he has been sadly missed as a sire, but now through Siren’s Missile mare owners can utilise his successful bloodlines. Honeybrook Siren’s progeny included: 2 graded coloured stallions, Intermediate Eventers, SJ’s, Dressage horses, racehorses and top class Show horses.
